             Potholes have become a death trap and a major cause of traffic on our roads. People would agree with me that pot holes are part of what causes traffic on our roads, and where the lack of patience from the road commuters when trying to maneuver this pot holes leads to build up of traffic.

Where it is a norm in other countries that people don’t think of pot holes, in Nigeria we think of avoiding the deepest pot hole in order to avoid damage to our cars. I must say that this happens due to a number of things that are inter woven.

               Our method of waste disposal is poor whereby people leave their waste on the side of the road for the waste agency to pick up which in turn gets washed into the drainage system and leads to the blockage of our drainage system which leads to flooding and water logging of the road which in turn results in the washing of our roads and the creation of potholes that could also cause accidents on the road.
